This makes complete sense because 80% of wine purchased in the UK off trade emanates from these two channels. It also assists in making us a highly efficient supply chain operator as we almost exclusively service our customers with ex-cellars central deliveries.
However, we’re certainly not a one-trick-pony!
We have a dedicated sales resource to manage the very important Convenience channel wherever the supply chain set-up allows us to ship ex-cellars to a central point.
And finally, but certainly not least, our Master of Wine is focused on building business in the Specialists, National and Regional Wholesaler channels, and also the National On-Trade, with an exclusive portfolio of products as well as our successful brands. For these customers we can often come to an agreement to hold relevant amounts of UK stock provided that central deliveries are viable.
